Full Description
Annalakshmi works on the principle of you-pay-what-you- want with all proceeds going to the efforts of the Temple of Fine Arts. However, don’t use this as a barometer to judge what the food here tastes like – use your senses, and you’ll be using plenty as the daily buffet spread (all cooked by volunteers) here is healthy, wholesome and moreish. Dishes change each day, so there’s always the guarantee of variety with that magic homecooked touch. Indian breads can be ordered to accompany your meal, the restaurant is busiest during lunch and there’s a dress code (no slippers or shorts, please) to adhere to. Great ambience too, as you dine surrounded by classical Indian furnishings.
Awards
Annalakshmi was shortlisted in the Best Healthy Eating/Vegetarian category of the Time Out KL Food Awards 2010 and 2011. Our food awards are 100% voted for by the people of KL. This way, we guarantee that popularity and consistent performance is rewarded.
Food 40 is our monthly, definitive guide for where to eat in the Klang Valley. No entry into the Food 40 has provided any Time Out team member with a free meal or other incentive. If you have eaten somewhere that you think should rank amongst KL's top 40, email us and we'll check it out: [email protected].
