Full Description
Cosy Corner serves springy fish paste stuffed into vegetables (chilli, brinjal, bitter gourd, lady’s fingers), dumplings and fried tau pok. The flavour of the fish seeps out into the clear soup – a broth you’ll gladly finish because there’s no MSG. The puffed tau pok makes a soft hiss when it explodes, and soup oozes out of the porous beancurd. Dumplings reveal large prawns; vegetables aren’t cooked to a soggy mess. Yong tau foo priced at RM1 per piece. Save some room for their stonking lam min – the same yellow noodles you’ll find in hokkien mee but simmered in an eggy potage topped with chicken slices.
