June 2010
Delicious’ little sister D'lish is out with a new menu, veering from their previous premise of fast (but good) food to a weightier dinner menu and mains. Their new direction takes them by way of the Mediterranean, with plenty of Spanish, Greek and Middle Eastern flavours. There’s also some old favourites, reimagined D’lish style – look out for the excellent roast beef, salt beef and ox tongue sandwiches, and a novel dish of poached skate. There’s fresh flavours in the piquant tomato soup ingeniously served with a finger of grilled cheese sandwich, and grilled mushrooms topped with crispy cheesy bits. If it’s a salad you’re after, there’s a new range to choose from, including an inventive pairing of haloumi and watermelon, a classic roast lamb and mint, and several other cheesy offerings.
