Full Description
Market Hall is like a part deli, part gourmet restaurant. It came across as a little trying but we changed our minds after sighting its shelves, which are filled with imported condiments stretched across the length of the room. Packaged sweets, cookbooks and snacks have never looked better. The decor – replete with recycled biscuit tins, wooden furniture and lights made from paint cans – blends in perfectly with the eco-friendly dining concept.
We love the smell of freshly baked loaves wafting in our face and we can smell the pizzas from outside the restaurant. Although it serves predominantly modern Australian cuisine, Market Hall is famous for its tagliatelle pasta and paella, spicy Spanish rice with clams and chicken. Or you can pick up some couscous, bulgur and Australian hand-picked olives from the counters to whip up a dinner back home. Kong Wai Yeng
