MELBOURNE: Malaysia Airlines will reintroduce direct services between Perth and Kota Kinabalu, from Dec 10, complementing the current 10 non-stop weekly flights between the Australian city and Kuala Lumpur.
The new non-stop service will operate once a week with the flight from Perth departing every Monday at 12.40am and arriving in Kota Kinabalu at 6.25am. The flight from Kota Kinabalu departs at 6pm every Sunday and arrives in Perth at 11.25pm the same day, the airline said in a statement.
The service will be operated using a two-class configured B737-800 with 160 plush leather seats with 16 seats in business class and 144 in economy.
Malaysia Airlines is offering an introductory all-in return economy class fare starting from A$538 for travel from Perth to Kota Kinabalu.
The offer is on until the end of this month and normal retail fares are also available through Malaysia Airlines’ Reservations on www.malaysiaairlines.com and through travel agents. –BERNAMA
