Mum's Place is a Peranakan institution in KL that serves mainly Peranakan and Portuguese food like the Chicken Pong Teh with Sauce and Portuguese Devil Curry to name a few. We recommend you to try the restaurant's Sago Melaka with cendol and chestnut. The sago pearl are grouped together in one mould, surrounded by vanilla sugar syrup with a mixture of thick, syrupy gula Melaka hiding underneath (be sure to stir it thoroughly). The pink water chestnuts topping it are just one of the delights that make this interpretation of the dish unique.
