One of the narrowest roads leading into the town centre, for a long time, Tranquerah was Malacca's northern entryway before the completion of the North-South Highway. While that passage is today known as Jalan Tengkera, more recently is known as a new restaurant along The Strand. Amidst a contemporary-meets-heritage setting with displays of things from yesteryears, the restaurant serves authentic Malacca nyonya cuisine such as Pie Tee and Pong Teh.
