With multiple awards up its sleeve, Toh Lee is the Intercontinental’s (previously Nikko) in-house Chinese restaurant. Arguably one of the better places for dim sum in the city, the restaurant also offers standard Beijing and Sichuan fare with a twist of fusion such as the deep fried soft shell crab with salt and pepper, shark’s fin soup with crab served with chicken essence, baked cod with egg floss and oats and deep fried prawns with mayonnaise and corn flakes. The desserts also deserve a mention, offering delights such as deep fried Chinese pancake roll with lotus paste and ice-cream and double boiled bird’s nest with rock sugar.
