All sorts of nasi and Kelantanese dishes at their best. The nasi tumpang; compacted rice wrapped in a conical shape banana leaf along with spices; is a pleasant surprise, as it is with the nasi kerabu (literally means ‘rice salad’), and the nasi dagang; rice steamed in coconut milk, fish curry with extras such as fried shaved coconut, solok lada, hard-boiled eggs and vegetable pickles. Another must try on your visit is the laksam, cubes of rice in a fishy-coconut-curry concoction and traditionally served with ulam (raw leaves and vegetables).
