The yardstick for Japanese food is the sashimi, and Fukuharu’s is fresh and generously sliced. The restaurant exhibits an extraordinary level of excellence with every dish on its menu, hence winning the Best Japanese Restaurant in the Time Out KL Food Awards last year. The interior – trimly done up with natural elements like wood, cement and aluminium – offers a bit of Zen, making the dining room look calmingly inviting. Don’t leave without the Tamago Mentai Sushi – the grilled cod fish roe sushi on egg omelette is immaculately prepared. They’ve also introduced special ice cream flavours recently (white sesame, miso and dashi) – more reasons for you to stay for desserts.
